驚いたときに使う言葉ですね。現代語のように思いませんか？？
ですが、実は・・・
平安時代
から使われていたという説があります！！

戦の際に、武士の鎧が触れあうと「ビンビン」という音がすることから、大軍が動いたときの音を「びびる音」と呼んだのが起源と言われています。

それを知ると、なんだか歴史深い言葉だなと感じませんか？
