１学期が終わりました。
４月から日本語教室を立ち上げて、色々と整備をしていく中で、教室の様子も４月当初に比べてずいぶん変わりました。

から使われていたという説があります！！

戦の際に、武士の鎧が触れあうと「ビンビン」という音がすることから、大軍が動いたときの音を「びびる音」と呼んだのが起源と言われています。

それを知ると、なんだか歴史深い言葉だなと感じませんか？

以前、ドイツの小学校にいたとき、日本の小学校紹介をしました。
同じ所もありますが、違うところもたくさんあって、ドイツ人の子どもたちは興味津々でした♪

日本の子どもたちも、きっとドイツの小学校についてとても興味を持つと思います。
写真を数枚載せておきます。

国の言語の指導方法や教材・教具、教室の環境整備など、日本語教室の教室作りにも、ヨーロッパの小学校のアイデアを取り入れています。
国際教室の理念（開かれた教室）
というのも、ヨーロッパの考え方に基づいています。
誰もが関係のある教室としてこれからも運営をしていければと思います♪


When I was in an elementary school in Germany, I've introduced a Japanese elementary school.
There are some same side, but there are also many differences, and students in Germany were very, very curious ;)

I'm sure students in Japan will be also very interested in German elementary schools.
I'll show you some photos here.

The ideas of European elementary schools are also incorporated into the creation of Japanese language classes, such as teaching methods of national languages, teaching material(tools), and improving the classroom environment.
The idea(I'd rather say "ideal") of an international classroom (open classroom) is also based on the European way of thinking.
I would like to keep operating it as a classroom that everyone is related to!! :)

「マジで！？」
使ったことはありますか？「本当に？」という意味で、現代語のような印象をもっていませんか？

実はこの言葉、
江戸時代
からすでに使われていた言葉なのです！
その語源として、「真面目（まじめ）」を略して「マジ」とした芸人の業界用語という説が有名のようです。
江戸時代の人が、「まじ」を使っている場面を想像すると、少し面白いですね♪
他にもまだあるので、また紹介させていただきます。

Have you ever used the word "Maji-de!?" ?
It means "Really?" and this phrase sounds like one of modern language.
But to tell the truth..., this phrase has been used since
Edo Era!!
As the etymology, it seems that the theory that "Majime(Serious)" is abbreviated as "Maji" is a famous term for entertainers.
It's a bit interesting(and maybe funny?weird?) to imagine a scene where people in the Edo period are using "Maji" x))

There are more like this, so I will introduce them sometimes :)

４月から開設された日本語教室。
もうすぐ１学期が終わります。
日本語教室に通う児童が、少しでも授業の理解が深められるように、日本語力が高まるように試行錯誤を繰り返して指導を行ってきました。
どの子も皆、日本語教室を気に入ってくれていて、毎回来るのを楽しんでくれているようで、とてもうれしいです♪

さらに子どもたちのためになるように、これからも色々とチャレンジしていこうと思います！

The Japanese language class has begun in April and the first semester is about to end..

七夕（たなばた）は、日本・韓国・中国・台湾・ベトナムなどにおける節供・節日の一つです。「星祭り」ともよばれるため、英語では"Star Festival(スターフェスティバル）"と訳されます♪

In Japanese class(international class), I'd like to teach not only Japanese language but also Japanese culture and history, and world culture and history:)
One of goals is always to make a classroom that even Japanese wanna come here!

Tanabata(Star Festival) is one of the festivals and festivals in Japan, South Korea, China, Taiwan, Vietnam, etc。;)

好きな名言の一つです。英語のフレーズの方が好きです。
食べるためにはお金が必要です。食べるため＝お金のため＝働くため、と置き換えることができるでしょう。
様々な事情から食べるために生きなければいけないこともあるでしょう。
しかし、働き過ぎと言われる日本人。「生きる」「人生」とは何かについて色々と考えさせられる言葉です。

This is one of my favorites and I like English ver. more than Japanese ver.
We need money for living of course. It means we need to work in other words.
Actually sometimes we have to live to eat perhaps.
However, we: Japanese people are often said "working too much".
Then I consider what is "life"..

国が違えば文化も違います。考え方も当然違いますから、我々が当然だと思っていた「常識」も、外国では違うこともあります。

日本では、「虹は何色ある？」と質問すると、だいたい「７色」と答えが返ってきます。
でも、外国人児童に虹の絵を描いてもらったところ、その答えはバラバラでした。
色も違います。
ですが、どれも正解なのです。色の見え方やとらえ方は人によって違うもの。
自分のなかの「常識」にとらわれることなく、多様な考えを認めていくことが、多文化共生につながります。

ちなみに虹は７色と定義したのはニュートンです。
そして、音楽と関連づけて７色としました。（音階の数）

では、本当は何色だと思いますか？

Different countries have different cultures. Of course, the way of thinking is different, so the "common sense" that we took for granted might be different in foreign countries.

In Japan, when you ask "How many colors are there in the rainbow?", The answer is "7 colors".
However, when I asked a foreign child to draw a picture of a rainbow, the answers were different.
The colors are also different.

However, I think they are all correct. The way colors look and feel differs from person to person.(or country to country)
Recognizing diverse ideas without being bound by the "common sense" within you leads to multicultural coexistence.

By the way, it was Newton who defined the rainbow as seven colors.
And I made 7 colors in relation to music. (Number of scales)

周りが乱れていると、心も頭もやはり乱れてしまうものです。

落ち込んだときに、前向きになれる一言ですね。
私も色々なことでとても落ち込むことがあります。そんなときに、この言葉を思い返すと、「あー、そうだな。」と思うことができ、気持ちが少し軽くなります。

国語力や語彙力を高めるためには、読書や読み聞かせがとても効果的です。
知らない言葉や表現にたくさん出会うことができます。
何度か出会うと、やがてそれを理解できたり、自分で使えたりするようになります。

本の中で使われる語句や表現は、日常会話のそれとは違います。　　　
本のジャンルによって、様々な発見があるでしょう。

また、国語力が高くなれば、全ての教科の理解も高まります。

Reading is very effective in improving the language skill and vocabulary.
We can come across many, many words and expressions that we don't know!
While we see the same words several times, we will soon be able to understand them and use them yourself :)

The words and expressions used in books are different from those used in everyday conversation.
There will be many discoveries depending on the genre of the book.

Also, the higher our language skills, the better our understanding of all subjects!!
I want kids to travel a lot in the world of books ;))

１．　お転婆（おてんば）
男勝りな女の子を指す言葉ですが、これは実はオランダ語の"Ontembaar"（手に負えない）が語源だと言われています。（諸説あり）

The japanese word "Otenba" means a girl who acts like an active boy in Japanese but it's actually said that this word is from Dutch :) "Ontembaar" in Dutch is the origin.(there're various theories though)

２．　瓦（かわら）
日本の伝統的家屋の屋根にあるものですね。これは実はサンスクリット語の"Kapala"(覆う、頭蓋骨）が語源だと言われています。

The Japanese word "Kawara" means a roof with tiles but it's actually from the word "kapala" in Sanskrit. It means like "cover", "skull" :)

言語には、主に
「話す」「聴く」「読む」「書く」の能力が必要です。
子どもは「耳」からまず覚えます。
日常生活で、「話す」「聴く」能力を身につけることはある程度できますが、「読む」「書く」は、やはり学習が必要になります。
特に、日本語は「ひらがな」「カタカナ」「漢字」の３種類の文字があり、語彙やオノマトペも豊富なため、「読む」「書く」が難しいと思われます。
個別に対応した指導をすることで、少しずつ能力アップしていけるように頑張っています！

You need 4 different skills like "speaking", "listening", "reading" and "writing" when you learn languages.
Children often learn from listening at first.
It's possible to improve speaking and listenin skills in daily conversation to some extent, however, you need to LEARN when it comes to improving reading and writing skills.
Especially there are "Hiragana", "Katakana" and "Kanji" in Japanese and there are a lot of vocabularies and onomatopoeia. That's why it's often considered that reading and writing is kinda difficult to study Japanese.
I'll do my best to improve students' ability little by little by giving individualized teaching.

International education is still behind in Japan compared to other countries... It's quite necessary to flexibly teach students by incorporating a wide range of foreign methods.
